A container side panel is a critical load-bearing component designed to provide structural rigidity, cargo protection, and weatherproofing for intermodal containers. Engineered to withstand extreme transit conditions—from high-impact loading to corrosive marine environments—it forms the lateral barrier of containers, ensuring goods remain secure and intact across global supply chains.
The side panels of our shipping containers are made of SPA-H high-strength and highly corrosion-resistant steel; they ensure the safety and durability of your containers during transportation. There are two thicknesses of 1.6mm and 2.0mm, as well as two sizes of complete plates and patch plates for your selection.
Surface treatment: Hot-dip galvanizing or color coating process enhances corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environments such as maritime transportation
Structural design: The inner surface of the side panel often features wavy grooves (corrugated structure), with a wave height of 36mm and a wave width of 208mm. This design can significantly enhance the compressive and impact resistance of the side panel.
Application scenarios:
Marine/land transportation containers: Standard side panels are used for 20GP, 40HQ and other containers, suitable for the global logistics system.
Special containers: The side panels of refrigerated containers need to be insulated, and the side panels of soundproof containers should focus on sound insulation design.
Container houses: The side panels can be used as wall panels, with a thickness of 1.0-2.0mm, featuring both structural strength and decorative properties
