Container D-ring

Container D-ring

The container D-ring is a high-performance lashing component engineered to provide secure cargo restraint and load stabilization in intermodal transportation. Serving as a critical attachment point for straps, chains, and tie-downs, it ensures safe containment of goods during transit, preventing shifting, damage, or safety hazards caused by dynamic loads in road, rail, or ocean shipping.

Base Material: Constructed from quenched and tempered alloy steel (42CrMo4, yield strength ≥ 930MPa) for exceptional tensile strength, or 316 stainless steel for marine environments requiring superior corrosion resistance.
Profile: Solid D-shaped ring (outer diameter: 80–120mm, bar diameter: 16–22mm) welded to a rectangular base plate (150mm×100mm×10mm) with pre-drilled mounting holes (M16/M20 threads). The ring’s inner radius is optimized (40mm) to minimize stress concentrations during lashing.
Surface Treatment: Hot-dip galvanized with a 275g/m² zinc layer (ISO 1461) or coated with a dual-layer system (100μm epoxy primer + 150μm polyurethane topcoat) for enhanced abrasion and corrosion resistance.

Static Load Rating: Single D-ring withstands up to 5MT of breaking force (vertical pull) and 3MT of horizontal shear force, with a safety factor of 2:1 to meet IMO CSS Code (Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing) requirements.
Fatigue Resistance: Tested to 100,000 cycles of dynamic loading (50% of rated load) without deformation or cracking, ensuring long-term performance in high-frequency logistics operations.
